After Twitter increases DM length to 10,000, should we utilize the max length or try to keep them as short as possible?

Increasing the Twitter direct messages length to 10,000 now users on Twitter can pass content in the DMs as in emails. From one side Twitter users will be able to express themselves in a better way, with more details and examples, for many it will be no need to refer them to the external resources where more information is available.

But there are some limitations and disadvantages may arise:

  1. spammer will take the advantage
  2. people don't like to read long messages
  3. on mobile devices long messages will be harder to read

Our suggestion is to try and keep the DMs as short as possible and not to use too many links. Don't try to sell in your first communication with your new followers.
